Credit scores can be a scary thing. You might be afraid to check it, for fear of making it drop by pulling it too much. You might be worried that you’ll need to spend money in order to check your credit score. Or, you might just plain be worried about the number you’ll see there.

Well, fear not! Today, we’re going to show you the very best sites you can use to check your credit score easily and for free.

Credit Karma

Credit Karma is a great service to go through that offers scores from both Equifax and TransUnion. The scores provided from this site are in the VantageScore 3.0 model. This model is newer, created by a collaboration between the three credit monitoring companies.

Typically, VantageScore is considered more up-to-date and accurate than traditional FICO scores. The best part about Credit Karma is that it’s totally free! They also won’t share your information, which is good to know!

Quizzle

Quizzle is another great free option for checking your score. If you’ve ever wanted to see your Equifax score, this site will let you check it for free! They also offer a free VantageScore report. Both of these reports are free to users once every three months.

While Quizzle offers a premium, monthly service, you likely won’t get much more out of it than you would from just using the free version. Another great upshot: this site doesn’t ask for your credit card!

WalletHub

WalletHub is a bit different from some of the other sites on this list. In order to get your free score, you’ll have to answer some questions, like your annual income, and put the last four digits of your SSN in. The score you’re given is a TransUnion VantageScore, which is rather standard for free online services.

You also get a credit report from TransUnion, complete with the factors that go into determining your score. You get a dashboard to help you organize your finances, as well, which is great when you’re trying to raise your score.

Credit.com

This site, aptly named Credit.com, lets you see two different free scores. You can see your VantageScore 3.0 and your Experian credit score. The credit reports, however, do require that you sign up for the free account. You don’t have to put in a credit card, which is always a plus.

The site also offers a credit report card, a report that tells you which things are contributing the most to your score. You can get a new free score once every month, even with the free version of the account.
